Dashen cuts tenants’ utilities to force contract

Conflict between Dashen bank and tenants at TANA Market has been flaring over the last couple of weeks, as Dashen bank, owner of the building is said to have cut electric power and water to tenants, namely Awash Bank, Nib Bank, Abyssinia Bank, and NICE Insurance.
Following Dashen’s measure, Nib bank and Awash bank have been forced to operate using generators.
