Quarterly report card on the
Ethiopian Economy

Macroeconomic analysis by EEA/EEPRI

By our staff reporter

A quarterly Report on the Macroeconomic Performance of the Ethiopian Economy made its debut this month.

Prepared by the Ethiopian Economic Association, the unveiling of the quarterly report is designed to fill the gaps in the association’s Annual Report which is handicapped from a lack of timely data because there usually is a two-year lag period. This lag in economic information reduces the usefulness of the analysis for immediate policy intervention.
