Road from Kaliti to Mesqel Sq. to be widened

 The Addis Ababa City Roads Authority is going to upgrade the main road that stretches from Mesqel Square through Gotera and Saris to the Kaliti interchange.
The Authority is also planning to rebuild a new bridge that is commonly known as Coca-Cola Bridge located between Building College and Defense forces Hospital on the way to Jimma Road.
According to the notice posted on the daily English newspaper The Ethiopian Herald the Authority invited interested road and bridge engineering consultants of category II for consultancy services for design, tender document preparation, construction supervision and contract administration for the upgrading, widening and rehabilitation of main roads from Kaliti interchange to Meskel Square and the Coca-Cola bridge.
The Addis Ababa City Roads Authority (AARC) is also concentrating on another road improvements and expansions, this time from Megenagna to Shola. The authority would widen the road in a bid to ease the heavy traffic loads on the roads.
The road from Megenagna to Shola, when completed would be the second road upgraded following the “Ethio-China Friendship Avenue,” the new name for the newly completed Gotera-Wello Sefer stretch.
