Africa Insurance to install integrated information system

Selects Online Systems House for computerization

Africa Insurance Company selected Online Systems House PLC to install its integrated insurance information system worth about 789, 401 birr. The project is to be completed within the coming five months.
The overall project will be carried out in two distinct phases, starting with systems analysis, design and planning, which will be followed by deployment planning and implementation. After the computerization of such activities as underwriting, claims adjusting paper shuffling will presumably become history.
According to the contract signed on December 25, 2003, Systems House agreed to also work in the integration activity of the insurance company’s Financial Management System, Human Resources Management System and Messaging system (which are categorized under the back end system).
Systems House will design, develop and implement the required local and wide area network infrastructure (head office and branch offices) based on integrated insurance information system requirements.
African Insurance has three branches in Addis Ababa namely, Flowiha, St. Joseph and Arada .It also has branches in Mekele, Awassa, Dire Dawa, Combolcha, Bahir Dar and Adama.
Capital learned that Systems House has already worked on similar project with MOH Soft Drinks Relief Society of Tigray and the Ethiopian Sugar Industry Support Center
