Berhane Mewa detained for ‘tax evasion’

Late Saturday information reached Capital that Berhane Mewa President of the AA and Ethiopian Chamber of Commerce and two others were detained at the Federal Investigation detention center. Police apparently visited his house early in the morning with an arrest warrant, but he was not home. Berhane later went to the detention center himself and gave himself up.
