Ministers dumbfounded on School Net project’s hurdle 
 

VSAT acquisition may have wasted 30 mi. USD

Nothing good has been heard so far on the progress of the commendable project of the Ministry of Education to transmit educative programs to schools all over the country via the newly purchased VSAT (Very Small Aperture Terminals) equipment, whose total turnkey project has cost over USD 30 million.
IT experts have for long been skeptical about the compatibility of the VSAT Equipment purchased, which culminated with a very strong and frank criticism by Prof. Solomon Negash, Telecom engineer from the United States at a meeting held with stakeholders last Thursday.
