Hardware Service Provider, a firm specializing in information
technology and software development, is to release a digital software,
named ‘The Charming Land of Addis’ that contains a substantial amount
of informative data about Addis Ababa, in February, 2005.
Petros Ezechiel, Software Package Design and Developer in the
electronic firm, told Capital that approximately 10,000 copies of the
product would be put on sale and are expected to be dispersed in
various locations within Addis Ababa. “The software will be
distributed to private businesses, as well as different governmental
and non-governmental institutions,” Petros said.
According to Petros, the up coming CD is believed to assist resident
of the city, tourists visiting Ethiopia and staying in Addis Ababa,
and those interested in electronics and information technology. “This
product would save the time of travel operators, tourist guides,
hotels, and other organizations that need to get or transfer vital
information about Addis Ababa.”
The electronic software contains information and addresses of various
business units, service providers, NGOs, governmental organs, hotels,
hospitals, universities, museums, libraries, travel and tour guides,
and more.
The recently established electronics firm has the objective of
exploiting the enormous potential of computers and information
technology as a whole that can make peoples’ lives simpler.
