Electronic directory of Addis to be released

 Electronics Hardware Service Provider, a firm specializing in information technology and software development, is to release a digital software, named ‘The Charming Land of Addis’ that contains a substantial amount of informative data about Addis Ababa, in February, 2005.

Petros Ezechiel, Software Package Design and Developer in the electronic firm, told Capital that approximately 10,000 copies of the product would be put on sale and are expected to be dispersed in various locations within Addis Ababa. “The software will be distributed to private businesses, as well as different governmental and non-governmental institutions,” Petros said.

According to Petros, the up coming CD is believed to assist resident of the city, tourists visiting Ethiopia and staying in Addis Ababa, and those interested in electronics and information technology. “This product would save the time of travel operators, tourist guides, hotels, and other organizations that need to get or transfer vital information about Addis Ababa.”

The electronic software contains information and addresses of various business units, service providers, NGOs, governmental organs, hotels, hospitals, universities, museums, libraries, travel and tour guides, and more.

The recently established electronics firm has the objective of exploiting the enormous potential of computers and information technology as a whole that can make peoples’ lives simpler.
