Bill of Lading still confusing

Implementing the system of using bill of lading have been said to be more beneficial to the Ethiopian Shipping Lines S.C. (ESL), while officials of the share company denied the claim. Officials at ESL expressed this when answering accusations voiced at a customers discussion forum held at the Addis Ababa Hilton on Thursday, January 13.

Al-Kharafi snatches lion’s share of ACCOR’s hotel ownership

The Al-Kharafi group of Kuwait has taken up 60 % of the share, the rest of the stake going to ACCOR, in the possession of two hotels at the same spot that would be constructed in Ethiopia with the completion period of 18 months, officials of Al-Kharafi and ACCOR disclosed on Friday, January 14, 2005.

 

1.2mln birr profit for Africa Insurance

Despite the directive issued by the National Bank of Ethiopia (NBE) and the increasing claims in the transport sector, both acting as bottlenecks for the performance of insurance companies in the country, Africa Insurance S.C. announced yesterday that it has recorded a net profit of close to 1.2 million birr, at its 9th annual general meeting held at the Addis Ababa Hilton.
