What it does: water powered hydraulic pump which doesn't require fuel, electricity or other energy and capable of pumping up to 60,000liters of water daily.

BIG PICTURE
Reason for starting business:- The inception and development project is meant to be as one ingredient input for the alleviation of problems of rainfall dependent farm economy. Also the poor utilization of rivers and tributaries and the low purchasing power of the farmers for generator pumps.
Most Difficult part of decision:-
I have used the last penny I had to make this project a reality. I had placed my family in a very difficult situation but somehow I managed to get through it.
Biggest business strength:-Getting patent rights (Utility Model Certificate) issued by the Ethiopian Intellectual Property Office.

Biggest draw back: Rivers and tributaries are to be diverted into dam reservoirs of different sizes as required. Construction of a dam from which water is distributed by the pressure pumps to the plantation/irrigation plots is the basic component of the project. However, I still haven't found farmers associations or corporate representatives that have organized themselves in order to share the cost.
Biggest misconception:- People when I thought were concerned and responsible for such activities
become less cooperative and seem to ignore the idea.
Biggest risk:- There is a probability of facing risks since the work requires unfailing support from others.

Favorite task: To work on new inventions and technical equipment that can solve problems.
Least favorite task: Office work

DREAMS
Key goal yet to achieve: To enable at least 10% of Ethiopian farmers make use of the hydraulic pump and to see a green in Ethiopia.
