Team Approach to bring diaspora investments

Access Capital and PCI team up to offer attractive equity investment opportunities to the Ethiopian Diaspora.
"Taken together, the Ethiopian Diaspora is sitting on top of a mountain of cash which they invest in low-yielding stocks, bonds, or savings accounts in the developed world," said Ato Henok Assefa, the managing partner of PCI. "We believe Diaspora investors can earn much better returns back home by investing in the emerging equity market in Ethiopia, with the added benefit of knowing that the investment will also provide jobs and help develop our beloved country".
With an impending economic slowdown in the West and a turbulent housing market in the U.S, investors are looking for higher returns in emerging markets in the developing world. Ethiopia's economy, on the other hand, has been growing at over 10% on average over the past four years, with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) forecasting that growth trends will continue. Unfortunately, for the Ethiopian Diaspora until now, there have not been many suitable opportunities for safe and profitable investment opportunities in Ethiopia. (Press Release)
