The indivisibility of peace

Peace is universal and indivisible. It is for peace, prosperity and social progress that mankind has been struggling throughout history and still Strives fro more than anything else.
It is under the atmosphere of peace that humans can breathe an air of hopefor the present and hope for the future as the present and the future have priceless treasures in store.
One understands clearly and better the meaning, importance and value of peace when there is no peace and when one longs for it desperately. It is in such unfortunate times that man starts to appreciate the gift of peace. In other words, in peace, the understanding and the very feeling of it seem to be remote.
But, this is not to insinuate that one should wait in vain for bad moments to grasp the gist of peace. The fact of the matter remains such that a person knowingly or unknowingly abuses the golden opportunity which is in his palm, and falls into the pit of difficulty which he finds difficult to come out from.
That is why we say ‘peace is indivisible.’ There is not one kind of peace for a group of people here, and another kind of peace for another group of people there, by splitting the same peace into two different portions.
Hence, all people of the world should of necessity operate under one peace paradigm as their common property, as long as they understand clearly and unequivocally that they exist in one physically indivisible universe. We cannot change, willy-nilly, night into day, nor day into night, in the same way as we cannot split the sun into any imaginary fragments of interest zones.
When peace is disturbed, neither the troublemaker nor the troubled benefit. Instead, the peaceful meeting ground becomes chaotic. Likewise neither the disturber carries out his objectives successfully, nor the disturbed gives in easily as to make his opponent’s mission be pursued peacefully.
The weakness of the peace disturbers is that, in whatever level of strength and showdown they attempt to manifest their mission, they assume naively that everything will be dark for the disturbed, forgetting the fact that their side of the world would be just as dim.
Peace is not the property of a government, nor could it be under any stretch of imagination be the property of any interest group alone. Peace is not the property of the aged nor does it belong to the youth alone. Peace has no boundary between the older generation and the current one. Neither will any future dynamic generation claim it as its sole property.
On the other hand, peace is not owned single- handedly by an extra-territorial power either, as single interest has no match in the matrix of commonality. Could splinter groups in a body-polity claim universal peace to serve their own egocentric interest in total disregard of others? The answer is a sure negative. So one’s liberty is limited under domestic and universal international laws which mean that one can only enjoy liberty to the full extent as long as he/she respects the rights of other’s to liberty.
Finally, it is through peace that growth is achieved and, it is in peace that the productive forces challenge what’s ahead I it is in peace that businesses blossom. Let’s all give peace ful times a chance to prevail so that all of us will be able to enjoy the fruit of our intellects and labor, collectively.
