Positive Thinking

Norman Vincent Peale, a noted clergyman wrote "The Power of Positive Thinking" in 1952. This book was re printed seven times between October1952 and July1953.
He argues that the principles contained in his book are not his own, but, are given to mankind by the greatest Teacher who ever lived and who still lives among us. He goes on to assert that the book teaches applied Christianity; a simple yet scientific system of practical techniques of successful living.
His teachings have very much impacted upon present day management theory. Today, when we talk about positive thinking and creative thinking, we are heading towards the transformation of a static, backward, and pessimistic world view into one of dynamic, progressive, and optimistic quantity.
For Norman Vincent Peale, the power of positive thinking comes directly from God himself, and argues that through this divine power one could change himself and his environment, and then, puts clear some basic rules to build confidence, like conviction to succeed and never to fail; to shutter negative thoughts by positive ones; obstacles never to be inflated by fear; not to be so awestruck by other people and try to copy them; to remember always the power of positive thinking as the source of confidence and strength, and; to analyze oneself to find the cure; as well as, to develop a wholesome self-respect; and to put oneself in the hands of the power, and; to be convinced that nothing could defeat one as long as he or she is with the source power.
Today, when we talk about "Positive Thinking" we have to be sure that all positive thinkers are logical people and that the rules of the game go beyond the horizon of any particular religion.
People can think first scientifically and then relate it with their own particular beliefs, be it religious, moral, or spiritual conception, so that, in practice, there will be inner most satisfaction for an efficient accomplishment of tasks.
The science is always there, So to speak but, man by his very nature relates his ideals with the blessings of his most idolized supreme body. Then, any person who believes in religion, takes positive thinking as emanating or directly coming from the supernatural being revered.
Conversely, for those who are complete materialists and who do not wish to be governed by religious tenets they may equate the power of positive thinking with their world view. When they say "Money governs the world," they may be telling us that the source of the power of thinking could be the element "money" that governs the world. So, it may not be attached to any supernatural or terrestrial body.
However, to make "positive thinking" a potent force, it is always better to think about it as a branch of management. To produce meaningful output from any given input, requires positive thinking. There is a popular English saying, "you cannot have the cake and eat it too." Any new project or one in view may only be accomplished when there is "positive thinking." One cannot embark on anything with a negative mind; if so, the outcome will also be negative. As one would say, "for every thesis there is an anti-thesis," it is also true, pessimism and optimism, do not at all move together.
For any scientist, the power of positive thinking is the objective brain of the individual person. Unless the take off point is filled with optimism, the point of arrival or the output stage will be counter productive.
The success of any project, policy, or strategic plan then presupposes, first of all, positive thinking. It is because of this stark reality that the project owner prays to the Almighty God in his religious language, or to the one he idolizes to get blessings for carrying out the tasks he sets for to accomplish.
It is true and it is a moral question at that for any person then to ask the blessings of the supernatural body beyond him. Unless for this sole purpose, positive thinking is always conceived in the brain of the motivated individual, and it is part of science, which should not be conceived as occurring by itself outside this reality.
