Entrepreneurs profile for short, is by leaps and bounds, the most popular of Capital’s inside pages. It is not at all surprising considering that since it was added to Capital’s increasingly diverse and eclectic menu nearly two years ago, scores of entrepreneurs representing virtually all sectors of economic endeavor have been profiled.
This has been much to the benefit of our wide readership, from which regular feedback informs us that EP has been a source of inspiration. This being precisely our objective in introducing Ep, we are delighted that the page has been a resounding success. This fact not least, has also been greatly appreciated by the profiled entrepreneurs. Many of them have contacted us with news of how EP
has helped them promote their respective businesses - not only domestically but also globally, given that www.capitalethiopia.com is one of the most popular sites originating from Ethiopia.
Capital, as it marks 10 years of business journalism, looks forward to hosting more dynamic entrepreneurs. Readers are always welcome to nominate potential Ep candidates. Contact us by P.O.Box: 95 Code 1110 or email at syscom@ethionet.et .

REASON FOR STARTING BUSINESS:
Initially worked with Hilton Addis hotel for about 13 years, thereafter I realized that there is a need to set up a company organizing events in the country and help build on the country’s image and setting up income generating activities.

BIGGEST PLUS OF OWNERSHIP:
To share experience and equip employees with knowledge and skills through trainings on how to receive guests.

BUSINESS STRENGTH:
Since it is one of the first licensed companies to organize events, there is a quick international recognition that is enhanced through our website and quality services we offer. Although we do not have our own conference hall, our continuous improvement on services and facilities offered, and the fact that professional employees and support staffs coupled with multilingual guides run it is a great strength. A total commitment to our clients need, quick response and reasonable prices is our forte. It is a well-organized company actively working in the country that possesses all the necessary equipments.

BIGGEST WEAKNESS:
Though I am trying my best I feel there is still much to do to meet the company’s objectives and promoting it.

BIGGEST RISK:
Initially the business faced challenges from conflict of interest and high vehicle rental fee but thanks to God it is now flourishing.

BIGGEST WORRY:
Programme reshuffling, international warning that affects the flow of tourists, poor infrastructure of tourist sites, and high cost of transportation compared with other countries.

FAVORITE TASK:
Organizing events, and introducing the country’s historical and cultural sites to the tourists.

PLAN:
Constructing personal lodges in the Northern and Southern parts of Ethiopia. At least one lodge is operating in Wonchi, with high quality tourist facilities and expanding the business.

MOST CHALLENGING TASK:
The most challenging task is the frequent repairs of tourist cars due to poor roads and duplicating of other works.

FIRST CAREER:
Accounting with the Ministry of Finance.

SMARTEST MOVE:
International exposure, apply and invest my knowledge and experience to the business.
