PROVISION OF REUSABLE SANITARY PADS

‘Eurika’ Yebego Adragot Dirigit is a local Non-Governmental Organization registered with the Ethiopian Agency for Civil Society Organizations (ACSO) under certificate No. 4377. Our social purpose is to pursue any action seeking a sustainable progress of children’s rights & well-being through humanitarian and development projects.

Our organization currently operates in the Amhara & Southern Nations, Nationalities, and Peoples’ (SNNP) regions, being active in the fields of education, nutrition as well as child protection and in various actions aiming to prevent and respond to gender-based violence (GBV), e.g. through delivering comprehensive services to survivors.

We hereby invite legally-constituted manufacturers of reusable cloth sanitary pads to submit their bids with a view to regularly supply Eurika on GBV projects, including for a new intervention now starting in Debre Berhan and Gondar cities. The selected vendor(s) will be awarded a Framework Agreement for a period of up to 2 years.

Once contracted, the supplier shall provide the solicited product based on specific purchase orders to be submitted by Eurika twice a year or on a quarterly basis. The quantities to be supplied are estimated in hundreds (or thousands) and will depend on our actual needs – there is no visibility on the exact numbers at this point in time.

Bids must contain: 1/ precise technical specifications on the packaging of the pads, i.e. number of pieces contained in each set or bag, targeted age tranche, inclusion of pants or not, as well as descriptions in case of differentiated uses (night / day, first day, etc.), thickness and fabric; and 2/ a price quotation for each set or package. The bids should be signed by the relevant authority and submitted in PDF format.

Bidders are required to attach their renewed trade & business licenses, as well as their VAT & TIN registration certificates. As our team is based out of Addis Ababa at the moment, bids shall be sent to: contact@eurika.ngo. Our evaluation criteria will combine price and quality imperatives – Eurika would recontact short-listed bidders to seek a sample of pads for testing purpose before signing the said agreement.

The deadline for submission is 15 calendar days after the date of advertisement, with selection in the following 2 weeks. Please note that Eurika reserves the right to reject all or part of any bid. Only short-listed firms may be contacted for negotiation and / or to enter into an agreement. The following must be included in the email subject line: Invitation to Bid Ref. EURIKA/ITB/01/2023 – Provision of Reusable Sanitary Pads.
