Expression of Interest

Banking Service – IRC Ethiopia program

The International Rescue Committee (IRC) is an international, nonsectarian, voluntary organization providing relief, protection for refugees and victims of oppression or violent conflict. IRC responds to the world’s worst humanitarian crises and helps people to survive and rebuild their lives. Founded in 1933, the IRC offers lifesaving care and life-changing assistance to refugees forced to flee from war or disaster.

This expression of interest is seeking to find reputable banking services for the International Rescue Committee Ethiopia country program. We are looking for qualified suppliers who have the necessary authorization, certification, capable staff, number of branches, and overall competency. Interested and eligible service providers can submit their expression of interest by providing the requested information and documents listed below:

  1. Bank profile
  2. Geographical coverage
  3. Bank service charges (international and local transfers)
  4. Cash programming services- cash delivery to clients and related charges.  It includes geographical coverage and modalities (under the current mobility bank staff travel to a field location to distribute cash).
  5. Cash delivery to IRC offices.
  6. E/Online/internet banking services and its platform
  7. Intermediary/correspondence banks and by different currencies
  8. Experience working with UN and NGO’s
  9. Loan facility – organization and employees – types, interest rate, equity, etc
  10. Interest rate on staff deposit/Provident fund
  11. Interest-free banking/Islamic) facility.
  12. ATM/wire transfer facility
  13. US$ availability to staff and organization when requested and needed.
  14. Social/corporate responsibility.

Interested and only registered companies who are authorized to provide banking service with the above requirement are invited to submit detailed bank service proposals.

The interested Banking service provider should submit their response through a sealed envelope on the below IRC Ethiopia Country program address.

Documents must be submitted to IRC through the given address no later than by Close of Business,

Tuesday 31 October 2023, 4:00 PM.

Next Step

Once the response is received further process will be following the below steps:

  • Review submitted Expression of Interest for the intended purpose.
  • Shortlist will be selected among the suppliers based on the developed ToR who can qualify from their submitted proposal.
  • And only the service provider who meets the minimum requirement will be considered for further discussion.

Failure to submit the required documentation will result in eliminating the supplier from the process. Interest submission will not be accepted after the Expression of Interest CLOSING DATE.

IRC Ethiopia Country Program reserves, as its sole discretion, the right to select or reject either totally or partially any or all proposals made in the context of Expression of Interest.
