The Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia wishes to inform the public and the business community as follows:

UNHCR does not sell its tender documents; nor does it ask any company or business entity to purchase its tender documents or pay any money to UNHCR upfront. UNHCR tender documents are FREE OF CHARGE and open to any legally established business entities either registered with the government of Ethiopia or based globally. When UNHCR launches a tender for goods or services, it is openly advertised in the local newspapers and uploaded onto the UN Global website where companies can register and access the tender documents for FREE.

UNHCR, therefore, advises the public to take note and be careful about people selling fake tender documents, as UNHCR has been made aware of some such incidents recently. Be advised that any requests to pay for these documents is FRADULENT.  The public is hereby advised to report any such incidents to the national security offices (police and others) for assistance.  UNHCR cannot take any responsibility for any such occurrences and or losses thereof.

Any entity / company interested in doing business with UNHCR is advised to either contact UNHCR Offices directly or follow the guidance provided in the tender notices periodically published in the local newspapers and on UN Websites / platforms.
