Tender Title: Supply of water trucking service

SAVE THE CHILDREN INTERNATIONAL (SCI, Ethiopia) the world’s leading independent non-profit organization for children intends to enter a onetime contract agreement to supply a water trucking service.

The SCI Ethiopia is in the process of outsourcing some of the potential service provider firms. It, therefore, wishes to invite capable Companies to provide the above-mentioned services. Beginning from November 13th, 2023, interested companies are invited to submit their proposal to provide the requested service.  The detail criteria are included in the bid document.

Guidance on submission of Proposals:

 The following instructions need to be followed when submitting proposals:

  • Both Technical and Financial proposals should be submitted two separate sealed envelopes hardcopy format in person within the stated deadline which clearly marked by the “bidders’ name, address, and the tender reference number and title as stated above. The tender must be submitted to SCI till November 22, 2023.
  • A cover letter expressing interest in the services and briefly stating which package is being applied for. (Maximum 2 pages)
  • Company profile along with the list of Water trucking vehicles that the company proposed for the assignment should be included in the proposal.
  • Potential company may obtain the tender documents against payment of a non-refundable amount of ETB 100 from SCI offices in Addis Ababa Country office from November 13, 2023, up to final bid closing date / November 22, 2023/, during working hours.

Tenders submitted must be accompanied with:

  • Eligibility Documents: Valid Business License (E.C. 2015), VAT &, TIN registration certificate.
  • Company profile: listing Name of company (companies in consortia), Full name and address of contact person, short description of the company (consortia) listing the bidders’ address, branches, structure, resources……etc.
  • List of available Water Trucker that should assigned for this specific assignment.
  • Bid Security: Bidders should submit a bid security amounting Birr 400,000.00 (Birr Four Hundred Thousand) in the form of CPO or unconditional Bank guarantee from reputable Banks. The security should be valid for 90 days.

For all submissions:

  • Your tender response should be submitted For the Attention Of (SCI) Supply Chain Team
  • The following requirements should be complied with when submitting your response to this ITT:
    • You should ensure that you send your submission in good time to prevent issues with technology. Late responses may be rejected by Save the Children Ethiopia.
    • You should ensure that information provided as part of your response is of sufficient quality and detail that an informed assessment of it can be made by Save the Children Ethiopia.
    • Submit any additional supporting documentation with your ITT response as you can.  Note that PDF, JPG, PPT, Word and Excel formats can be used for any additional supporting documentation (other formats should not be used without the prior written approval of Save the Children Ethiopia.)

Clarification Requests

  • All clarification requests should be submitted to the Tender Admin at or Meron.yilma@savethechildren.org or  Zelalem. Tadesse@savethechildren.org before the Clarification Deadline, as set out in the Timescales section of this ITT.
  • Save the Children Ethiopia is under no obligation to respond to clarification requests received after the Clarification Deadline listed above.
  • Save the Children Ethiopia will issue clarification responses to all potential suppliers and will endeavor to respond within five working days of receipt of a clarification request.
  • SCI reserves the right to accept or reject this bid, in partial, or in its entirety.
