1. The Ethiopian Agricultural Transformation Institute (ATI) has received funds from the Agence Française de Développement (the French Development Agency) towards the cost of FARM Project. It is intended that part of the proceeds of these funds will be applied to eligible payments under the contract for the Supply and Delivery of Modern Beehives and Other Beekeeping Equipment/Accessories.
2. The Ethiopian Agricultural Transformation Institute (ATI) now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the procurement of Supply and Delivery of Modern Beehives and Other beekeeping equipment/accessories (“the Goods”).
3. Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from and inspect the Bidding Documents at the office of Senior Operation Director, Ethiopian Agricultural Transformation Institute (ATI), Tigray Agricultural Transformation Centre (TATC) at Mekelle: Kiros H/silassie Building, 2nd floor, K/Ketema Kedamay Weyane, K-11, Infront of Buna Bank-Enkodo Branch; Tel. +251-914730293, +251-930-000346 & +251911-660518; Fax: +251-115 570668; E-mail: : Damte.Mengistu@ata.gov.et/Mulugeta.Yebegaeshet@ata.gov.et, and inspect the Bidding Documents between the hours of 8:30 am of December29, 2023, and 2:00 pm of February 29, 2024.
4. A complete set of Bidding Documents may be purchased by interested bidders on the submission of a written application to the above and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of Ethiopian Birr 200 (ETB Two hundred only). The method of payment will be in Cash or CPO. The cash sum must be deposited at the Commercial Bank of Ethiopia in the name of the Agricultural Transformation Institute in the Account No: 1000517806424 and the application letter and cash deposit receipt must be submitted to the finance department in order to participate in this bid.
5. The provisions in the Instructions to Bidders and in the General Conditions of Contract are the provisions of the Agence Française de Développement’s Bidding Documents for Procurement of Goods.
6. Bids must be delivered to the above office on or before 2:00 pm on February 29, 2024, and must be accompanied by a bid security of ETB 200,000.00 (ETB Two Hundred Thousand only) in the form of CPO or Bank Guarantee.
7. Bids will be opened in public and in the presence of bidders’ representatives who choose to attend at 2:30 pm February 29, 2024, at the offices of Ethiopian Agricultural Transformation Institute (ATI) Tigray Agricultural Transformation Centre (TATC), Senior Operation Director Office, 2nd to 3rd floor. Mekelle: Kiros H/silassie Building, 2nd floor, K/Ketema Kedamay Weyane, K-11, Infront of Buna Bank-Enkodo Branch.
8. Qualification criteria are as follows: bidder should submit a copy of renewed Trade License, VAT Registration certificate, tax clearance certificate, Public Procurement and Property Authority (PPPA) supplier registration certificate and TIN certificate with their technical proposal. The purchaser reserves the right to reject any or all bids. Eligibility criteria to AFD financing are specified in sub-clause 1.3 of the “Procurement Guidelines for AFD Financed Contracts in Foreign Countries”, available online on AFD’s website: http://www.afd.fr. 9. ATI reserves the right to accept or reject any bid, and to cancel the procurement process and reject all bids, at any time without thereby incurring any liability to the affected applicants or any obligation to inform the affected applicants of the ground for ATI’s action.
10. The Application must be submitted either by hand to ATI or by tender box with office address given.
