On behalf of the Italian Trade Agency, the trade promotion section of the Embassy of Italy, I am honored to launch “The Art of Wine” event, an extraordinary opportunity to promote Italian wines already available in the Ethiopian market.

Therefore, as part of its actions to promote Italian culinary traditions, the Italian Trade Agency, in collaboration with a renowned sommelier, Jacopo Fanciulli, promises a journey through the diverse and exquisite flavors of Italian wines. Through this event, led by an experienced Italian sommelier, the Ethiopian HORECA industry will not only be able to taste these fine wines, but also gain valuable knowledge about their origins, characteristics and perfect pairings. This experience will significantly enhance their offerings and elevate the dining experience for their valued customers.

During “The Art of Wine” event, we aim to celebrate the rich Italian wine tradition and cultivate partnerships that will elevate Ethiopia’s HORECA sector by offering selected hotels and restaurants to participate in exclusive tastings and short courses on Italian wines that renowned importers provide to the Ethiopian market.

This event aims to create a unique opportunity to taste a variety of Italian wines, including some of the best selections; gain valuable insights into the characteristics, pairings and cultural significance of these wines; and discover how these Italian wines can complement their existing menu, enhancing the overall dining experience for their customers.

It will also present a unique insight into the health benefits of wine consumption. In collaboration with the scientific attaché of the Embassy of Italy, Laura Pacifici Noja, the event will include a session dedicated to the positive health aspects of wine. This informative segment aims to shed light on the potential benefits of moderate wine consumption, providing participants with a comprehensive understanding of the intersection between the art of wine and its potential contributions to well-being.

This event is a celebration of the culinary arts and an opportunity for food and beverage managers to learn from the best in the industry and make informed decisions.
