Safaricom Telecommunication Ethiopia PLC (STE) requires the services of
a qualified and experienced consulting firms for provision of Consultancy
Services for Detailed Engineering Design Offices, warehouse, Data center
and Shops as per agreed schedule and/or “as and when” required
services. The successful Contractor shall provide all Carry out feasibility

Interested consulting firms should submit their response to the following
email address: bids@safaricom.et not later than Friday March 01st, 2024.
All the details should be zipped and sent on email as guided below.
Once the responses are received the further process will follow the steps
below:
Safaricom Telecommunications Ethiopia PLC reserves, at its sole
discretion, the right to select or reject, either in totality or partially, any or all
submissions made in the context of this EOI. Any such decisions made will
be final and no correspondence will be engaged in, other than for informing
the bidders of the outcome of the process.

contact details. These are clients for whom you have provided
such services in the past.

Design Stage
(Detailed Survey along the proposed site, Detailed geotechnical
investigation in connection with structural design of the site, Preliminary &
detailed engineering design and preparation of related drawings
(Architectural, Structural, Electrical, sanitary, Mechanical, & interior
design), Environmental & Social Impact Assessment, Preparation of
detailed cost estimates (BOQ), Preparation of tender documents, Provision
of assistance in tendering process,)
Construction Stage
(Supervision of construction works, controlling quality and time & cost
management and Provision of Services during Defects Liability Period) are
required to all designated Safaricom telecommunication Ethiopia (STE)
locations.
STE intends to enter for a Contract for an initial two (2) years period with
the option to extend at the discretion of STE, subject to satisfactory
performance by the consultant.
For the purpose of establishing a contract, STE will undertake a
competitive bidding exercise in the future and consider inviting those
companies that have expressed their interest and provided initial relevant
information as to their ability to fulfill STE’s requirement.
Please note, that this is not an invitation for submission of a price proposal.
The Interested consultants shall include minimum the following:
Provide a Company Profile of the firm including names and
addresses.
Provide Constitutional/Registration documents. The Company
must have been registered for 5 years from the date of submission
of the EOI.
The Consultant should demonstrate the financial capability to
carry out the work with a minimum average annual turnover of
over ETB 15 million for the last three years.
Appropriately qualified and skilled personnel with over 10 years
relevant experience: Provide professionally qualified staff,
registered by the relevant professional bodies in Ethiopia, who
must include an experienced team leader, Contract Specialist,
Quality Control Engineer, Engineering surveyor, civil engineer,
structural engineer, Architect, and an environmental expert.
Demonstrated experience of minimum 4 years comprising of
carrying out studies, investigations, and engineering designs
Projects; Provide evidence of at least 2 projects carried out;
relevant experience shop, Office, Wearhouse, DC, design and
supervision by providing details of similar assignments giving the
name and contact address of the client, value of assignment and
period covered to undertake assignment.
The consultant should have existing physical
infrastructure/resources to support the work such as an equipped
office, survey equipment, relevant testing facilities.

Review of submitted Expressions of Interest Submissions.
Prequalification of shortlisted consulting firms.
Issuing of tender to prequalified consulting firms.
Only the consulting firms who meet our minimum requirements
will be considered for further discussions.
No prices should be provided with this EOI.
The receipt of response shall not bind Safaricom to any
contractual agreements with the prospective bidder. Such
arrangements shall only come in place once an award has been
issued to a successful bidder after a tender process.
Any costs associated with the preparation and submission of the
response to the EOI shall be borne by the EOI respondent.
