REQUEST FOR EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST
(MASTER ADVISORY SERVICES)
In the existing dynamic business environment, there is a need to keep abreast of emerging developments and take the necessary strategic measures so as to tap opportunities and mitigate associated risks. Cognizant of this, Wegagen Bank is planning to hire versed advisory firms in a bid to enhance its competitiveness and realize its vision.
Accordingly, the Bank hereby invites qualified firms for the provision of master advisory services on strategic matters. The advisory services (“the Services”) include, among others, advising the CEO and Executive Team on:
- Execution of dynamic strategic plan;
- Adoption of technology and digitalization;
- Strategic partnership with foreign banks, fintechs, and/or investors;
- Merger and acquisition;
- Impacts of emerging regulatory and statutory directives;
- Enhancing the capacity of human capital;
- Capital market participation; and
- Other important issues.
Eligible firms are thus invited to indicate their interest in providing the Services. Interested firms should provide information demonstrating that they have the required qualifications and relevant experience to perform the Services. The shortlisting criteria are: core competence of the firm, qualification and relevant experience of the firm, financial capability and average annual turnover, past performance of similar assignment and timeliness of delivery, and technical & managerial capability of the firm. Key Experts will not be evaluated at the shortlisting stage.
Eligible firms shall submit the following documents along with their expression of interest for the required Services and shall include:
- Profile of your firm (including year of establishment);
- Description/brief summary of core competency (your firm’s area of specialization);
- Qualification (certificate and accreditation);
- Relevant experience of the firm (Number and list of similar projects/advisory services completed on financial companies over the last five years);
- Technical and managerial capacity of the firm (governance structure, number of staffs, global presence (branches/offices);
- Composition/diversity and experience of the leadership team;
- Financial capability (average annual revenue for the last five years); and
- Short description of your firm’s understanding and knowledge of Ethiopia’s social, economic and cultural context.
Eligible firms may associate with other firms to enhance their qualifications, but should indicate clearly whether the association is in the form of a joint venture and/or a sub-advisory. In the case of a joint venture, all the partners in the joint venture shall be jointly and severally liable for the entire contract, if selected.
