Addis International Film Festival screens its 15th edition

The 15th round of Addis international film festival was screened from December 15-19, 2021 at the Hager Fikir Theater, Italian Cultural Institute, and Alliance Ethio Francaise. The festival has for 15 editions continued to provide a platform for filmmakers across the world to share their stories with the Ethiopian audience.
On its 15th edition, Addis Film Festival screening consisted of more than 20 documentaries, short and features addressing racial inequality, women empowerment, children’s rights and much more from around the globe. Including Ethiopia, a total of 13 countries have been represented in this year’s festival.
Addis International Film festival is an annual film festival created by initiative Africa in 2007 and is held in Addis Ababa Ethiopia. The festival is the largest independent documentary cinema festival in Africa and it was established as a unique initiative seeking to use the power of film to support innovative ways of creating awareness on social issues.
