UNICEF INVITES QUALIFIED LOCAL AND INTERNATIONAL SUPPLIERS TO SUBMIT BIDS FOR THE SUPPLY OF ASSISTIVE DEVICES UNDER A NON-EXCLUSIVE LONG-TERM ARRANGEMENT (LTA).

Submission of bids should be done as per the below requirements:

A) Acknowledgement of receipt of Solicitation Document. Bidders are requested to inform UNICEF as soon as possible by ETH-Addis Ababa Supply at supplyaddisababa@unicef.org that they have received this Solicitation Document.

B) Any query or clarification regarding this bid shall be sent via email to ETH-SupplyQAgoods@unicef.org before or on the deadline for receipt of any questions is Thursday 28 August 2025. When sending your request for clarification, please ensure that you specify the LITB number in the subject email and provide the name of your company, contact person, email, and mobile number.

C) Pre-Bid conference: A pre bid conference will be held on Thursday 28 August 2025 at 10:00 AM through online teams the link will be found in the bid document.

D) Submission Deadline: The deadline for submission of Bids is as follows Monday 08 September 2025 at 11:59 PM (East Africa Time) Bid must be submitted only to ETH-Tendergoods@unicef.org.

E) Bid must be submitted with two separate PDF bid documents IN ONE EMAIL with a subject email of the LITB Number.

  • Technical Proposal: -must consist of clearly scanned legal and credential documents, technical compliance sheet, product catalog, and additional Documents as outlined in the ITB. The PDF attachment must be titled # LITB-2025-9199139 -Technical Proposal-(Company Name) #.
  • Financial Proposal: – must include price before VAT, delivery date, validity date, and availability of stock. The PDF attachment must be titled #LITB-2025-9199139 -Financial Proposal- (Company Name) #.

F) The detail specification of the items will be found as ANNEX B: on the bid.

ORGANIZATION FOR WELFARE AND DEVELOPMENT IN ACTION (OWDA)

The Organization for Welfare and Development in Action (OWDA) is a national non-governmental humanitarian and development organization, established in 1999 in Ethiopia. OWDA serves vulnerable and hard-to-reach communities in Ethiopia, implementing programs in Health and Nutrition, Education and Protection, WASH, ESNFI, Livelihood, Food Security, and other cross-cutting sectors. In partnership with WHI in the health sector, OWDA intends to procure field vehicles funded by WHI.

Vehicles to be required:

  1. Toyota Land Cruiser Hardtop (new): 5-Door, Semi-Long Wheelbase (4WD), Model Year 2022–2025, Engine Displacement ≥ 4,164 cc, Manual or Automatic Transmission.
  2. Toyota Land Cruiser Hardtop (used): 5-Door, Semi-Long Wheelbase (4WD), Model Year 2015 or newer, Mileage ≤ 50,000 km, Engine Displacement ≥ 4,164 cc, Manual or Automatic Transmission, good body condition.
  3. Toyota Land Cruiser Prado (used): Model year 2015 or newer, Mileage ≤ 50,000 km, Engine Displacement ≥ 2,700 cc, Manual or Automatic Transmission, good body condition.

Invitation to Suppliers:

Legally registered suppliers in Ethiopia with valid trade licenses and up-to-date tax clearance are invited to participate in this open bidding process. Legally registered suppliers will be required to provide competitive pricing for the vehicles listed above.

The United Nations World Food Programme in Ethiopia (WFP Ethiopia) invites qualified companies to submit their Provision of Overland (cross-border) Freight Transport Services from Djibouti to Ethiopia.

A. OVERLAND TRANSPORT SERVICE – DJIBOUTI CORRIDOR

  1. Objective

This invitation for expression of interest aims to identify qualified local companies for the provision of overland transport services from Djibouti to Ethiopia.

The shortlisted companies will be invited to participate in a bidding process to provide the above-mentioned services. Based on the results of a competitive bidding process, WFP may conclude a contract with one or more company(ies) for the provision of the named services.

  • Required Services

Overland (cross-border) freight transport services for the transportation of food and non-food items.

  • EOI Process

WFP seeks to shortlist companies/organizations with demonstrable technical and financial capabilities who will be invited to participate in the bidding process. After the deadline, WFP will evaluate all submitted EOIs, and participants will be notified of the outcome by email.

  • Submission of EOI

All documents should be presented in English and in an orderly manner as per the guidelines below.

B. Required Documents

  1. Company’s confirmation in writing of their interest (application) to join WFP’s database or shortlist of companies for the requested services.
    1. Renewed Trade Registrations and Business License
    1. Renewed Transport Operating License from Ministry of Transport and Logistics including accredited list of trucks under your company.
    1. Taxpayer Registration Certificate.
    1. Updated company profile information: including contact details, (e-mail address is mandatory, website, address/physical location, telephone, fax numbers) and experience in the freight transport operation.
    1. Independently Audited Financial Statement, at least for two (2) years.
    1. Recommendation letters from three credible clients and other relevant documents required to operate in overland freight transport operation. 

Failure to provide the required documentation will result in the company’s exclusion from further consideration.

The EOI and any supplementary documentation must be submitted in a sealed envelope and deposited at the Registry of WFP Ethiopia in Addis Ababa using the address below no later than 22 August 2025, 12:00 hrs.
