The Ethiopian Securities Exchange (ESX) in partnership with FSD Ethiopia invites eligible firms to express their interest in participating in the procurement process for the development of an Equity Crowd-Investment Platform for ESX.

ESX, established as a share company by the Government of Ethiopia in partnership with the private sector, including foreign investors, plays a crucial role in the development and growth of the Ethiopian capital markets. ESX aims to facilitate access to capital and support effective capital allocation for Ethiopia’s economic growth.
About FSD Ethiopia
FSD Ethiopia is a development agency that works towards the development of accessible, inclusive, and sustainable financial markets for economic growth. FSD Ethiopia provides technical assistance, grants, and research insights to drive large-scale change in financial markets and support sustainable economic development.
Project Background and Context
ESX seeks to implement an Equity Crowd-Investment Platform to enable startups and SMEs to raise equity capital from a wider pool of investors. The platform will offer various services, including issuer registration and showcasing, investor registration and management, account management, payment processing, communication and notification services, and reporting and analytics.
Proposed Nature and Scope of Work
The selected firm will be responsible for developing a comprehensive equity crowd-investment platform that meets the business requirements and incorporates core functionalities such as issuer and investor management, payment processing, and reporting. The scope of work includes requirement analysis, design and development, integration with other systems, testing, deployment, training, and one-year support and maintenance. Interested firms must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services (firm background and experience, description of similar assignments, experience in similar conditions, capacity, etc
Submission of EOI
Expressions of Interest should be submitted electronically in English to bids@fsdethiopia.org with the subject line “EOI to Develop Equity Crowd-Investment Platform for ESX”. The deadline for submission is February 26, 2024.
Note
Only shortlisted firms will be invited to collect the Request for Proposal (RFP) and submit proposals. Firms not shortlisted will not receive any notification or debrief.
